Position Summary
The Commercial Electrical Foreman is responsible for overseeing daily jobsite operations, coordinating field crews, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to schedule. This role serves as the primary link between field personnel and project management, helping maintain productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction on every project.
What You'll Do
- Lead, supervise, and mentor electricians and apprentices on commercial job sites
- Plan and coordinate daily work activities to ensure project milestones are met
- Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and construction documents
- Oversee installations including:
- Conduit systems
- Panelboards and switchgear
- Transformers
- Lighting systems
- Power distribution equipment
- Monitor productivity, job progress, and manpower allocation
- Ensure compliance with NEC standards, OSHA regulations, and company safety policies
- Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, inspectors, and customers
- Identify and resolve field issues while minimizing project delays
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and quality control
- Conduct safety meetings and promote a culture of accountability and safety
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of commercial electrical construction experience
- 2+ years of experience leading crews as a Foreman, Lead Electrician, or Supervisor
- Strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Experience with:
- Commercial electrical installations
- Power distribution systems
- Lighting and controls
- Panels, switchgear, and transformers
- Conduit installation and layout
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and electrical drawings
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Proven ability to manage crews, schedules, and jobsite priorities
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- South Carolina Journeyman or Master Electrician License preferred
